She’s Late, he’s late?

It is quite strange, when it comes to dates, sometimes, I really wonder, why is it acceptable when a girl is late for a date, yet for a guy it is not?

People usually interpretate it as: if a girl is late, it is because she cares too much about the date, and therefore overruns her dress up schedule… but it is totally acceptable.

yet, when a guy is late, the interpretation is:  he’d better have a good reason if he shows up at your door even 15 minutes late. When he’s late, he simply doesn’t have enough enthusiasm towards the date to actually show up on time. It was said that you shouldn’t expect to be impressed by the rest of the night.

I mean… I’m not complaining that a girl has these rights, but sometimes, I just can’t help but feel sorry for a guy who might be a little late, obviously assuming that there are times when they just can’t help it.

Who should be the one paying

Dating food money

These days everyone is about money, money and (yes) money. While I thought, who should be the one paying during dates now? traditionally it should be the guy, but as feminism plays a big part in our society, should it be any different? so comes, Steph’s two cents

If you are single: traditionally it should be the guy, because well… that’s how our society worked in the past. but since our world is changing, I like to think of it as: whoever is the one who askes the person to the date should be the person paying. I think its fair, but another which I thought makes a lot of sense is whoever is the one who makes more should be the person to pay, however, I’m not sure if this is fair :S but it certainly sounds quite reasonable.

In a relationship: I think it should rotate, but the boy friend should be the one who pays most of the time.. like a 6/4 ratio (am I getting confusing?)

for example: if a boy friend and a girl friend  went out for (say) 10 times, of the 10 times, the guy should pay 6 times and the girl 4 times

or a 4/4/2 ratio in which 4 times are paid by the boy, and 4 times are paid by the girl and 2 of the times, they split the bill
