Baptism

It has been exactly half a year since I got baptized, when I reflect on it, have I really changed? yes. Is it a good change? yes. but really, had the water really cleansed me? rather, it is in my very heart that I decide to keep it pure.

Some asked: wow, you finally decided to get baptised, I thought, yes, I think now is definitely the right time, a few years ago, I would not have said the same thing, I could say that God really changed me, it was in fact through His Glory that I got baptised, why?

first: The summer that so much had happened, all the confusion, and all that free time, had God decided for SCBC to create an English baptism class during the summer

second: The time that I decided that I should get baptised, that I could feel my faith began to grow

God is just so awesome!

a rhetorical question: is it easier to pretend you know? or to pretend you don’t know?
given in the former you really don’t know, and in the latter you do know?

Caring vs. Heart

I posted this on my xanga, but I thought it was well written to be put on WordPress… cause well, the content fits Simple Thoughts

Nicole, my mentor was telling me about caring.
she asked when is caring too much? like, when is it considered crossing the line? If a person were to care too much, should it be a concern? and if its a concern, should they continue?

my response: if it came from the heart, could it be calculated?

For example, if you love your home, you would treat it with care, chores would no longer mean anything because you feel that its a way of showing your care towards your home. However, if it is not done with a ‘heart’ involved, you would hate those chores.

If people care about these things, than clearly they did not come from the heart, but rather, from something which enables them to have a better outer image, also known as being ‘fake’.

If you look back at God, He was able to sacrifice His one and only Son, Jesus, to die for us to save us. As Christians we ought to try to be as close to God as possible, if God could do something so big out of love, couldn’t we? ofcourse, we could definitely not be as almighty as Him, but just trying to be as similar as Him in his doing is what we should do. As those bracelets put it: WWJD- What will Jesus do?

The person who is caring should not feel that they are bothered for it came from their heart, or it isn’t called “caring” to begin with.

Care should ultimately be from the heart and nothing else, that is what I think. It simply cannot be calculated, nor should there be a line or limit.
